Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

The role of Cloud Infrastructure Specialist involves overseeing the deployment and configuration of both private and public cloud environments.

This position requires a strong command over Linux system administration, experience with virtualization platforms, and hands-on experience in deploying cloud orchestration platforms like OpenStack or CloudStack.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in scripting languages – Bash, Python, and have a deep understanding of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.

Additionally, they will need to be familiar with hardware components, server installations, and physical infrastructure planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure Linux operating systems on physical and virtual platforms.
  • Install and manage hypervisors including KVM, VMware ESXi, and XenServer.
  • Lead and implement private and public cloud infrastructure using tools like OpenStack, Apache CloudStack, or other orchestration platforms.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts for deployment and operational tasks.
  • Use Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Work with physical infrastructure teams to set up and troubleshoot hardware, storage systems, and network configurations.
  • Document architecture designs, implementation plans, SOPs, and deployment workflows.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms: KVM, VMware, Xen.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying cloud orchestration platforms like OpenStack or CloudStack.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages – Bash, Python.
  • Deep understanding of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
