Electrical Design Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our electrical design team and contribute to the success of our solar PV and microgrid projects.

About the Role
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of Senior and Junior Design Engineers to plan and execute electrical design for solar PV and microgrid projects, from kW to MW scale.
  • Oversee detailed design of DC arrays, HT/LT AC systems, cable routing/sizing, inverter/transformer configurations, and cable loss analysis.
  • Design substations, switchgears, protection schemes, and control logic.
  • Ensure safety and statutory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Approve single-line diagrams, plant layout plans, interconnection schematics, PLC/SCADA configurations, and BoQ documents.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for electrical hardware, such as inverters and transformers, and support technical vendor selection.
Requirements
  • B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7-9 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in solar PV/microgrids.
  • Technical proficiency in solar PV design tools, IS/IEC electrical standards, protection systems, SCADA/PLC architecture, BoQ/spec development, and vendor evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with excellent team leadership, mentoring, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
