The goal of this role is to leverage medical expertise and analytical skills to identify and correct billing discrepancies in surgical denials.


Job Description:

Candidates for this position will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient records to identify areas where billing errors may have occurred. They will also be expected to communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies found during the review process.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Medical Coding Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in relevant coding is required. This experience should include a strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, modifiers, and other relevant medical coding terminology.
  • Knowledge of Medical Procedures: Candidates should have a good knowledge of medical procedures and terminology, including surgery types, anesthesia, and post-operative care.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns or discrepancies is crucial for success in this role. Strong problem-solving skills are also essential to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to interact with healthcare providers and other stakeholders. This includes being able to clearly explain findings and recommendations to others.
