Job Title: SAP GRC Security & Authorization Consultant

 

The role of SAP GRC Security and Authorization Consultant involves overseeing the creation, maintenance, and management of SAP user accounts, roles, and authorizations in compliance with security best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee User Access Management: Create, maintain, and manage SAP user accounts, roles, and authorizations ensuring adherence to organizational and industry security standards.
  • Conduct Security Audits and Compliance Checks: Regularly review and analyze SAP security configurations, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and Implement Security Policies and Procedures: Design, implement, and maintain SAP security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard user access and system integrity.
  • Troubleshoot Authorization-Related Issues: Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve SAP authorization-related issues, providing timely solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure Integration with SAP Basis and ABAP Teams: Work closely with SAP Basis and ABAP teams to ensure proper integration of security measures across the SAP landscape, maintaining optimal system performance.
  • Provide Training and Guidance on SAP Security Best Practices: Educate end-users and internal teams on secure and efficient use of the SAP environment, promoting a culture of security awareness.
  • Maintain Documentation and Monitor Security Logs: Maintain up-to-date documentation on SAP security configurations, roles, and authorization changes, and monitor SAP security logs and performance to identify potential threats or performance issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in SAP Security: A minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP security, specifically with SAP Basis, user roles, and authorizations.
  • Strong Knowledge of SAP Security Concepts: In-depth understanding of SAP security concepts, role management, authorization profiles, and troubleshooting security-related issues in SAP environments.
  • Business Process Understanding: Solid comprehension of business processes across functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.) and how they integrate with SAP access controls.
  • Foundational Business Process Knowledge: Possession of a foundational understanding of core business processes across functions such as Materials Management, Planning, Procurement, Production, and Warehouse Management.
  • SAP Security Tools and Technical Aspects: Familiarity with SAP security tools, such as SAP GRC, and knowledge of ABAP/technical aspects related to SAP security is desirable.
  • Industry Standards and Regulatory Requirements: Understanding of SAP security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex authorization issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and train users.
