Job Title: Data Engineer

  • To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on data structures/algorithms, backend, and data engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality features and completing tasks with precision. As part of the emerging team, you will focus on building and improving innovative BNL Data Warehouse offerings using marketing suites.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting, with production-level expertise.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in building cloud-native data-intensive applications, Amazon Web Services experience is mandatory, and experience with Google Cloud Platform is desirable.
  • Experience in designing and developing data warehouses tailored to business needs, utilizing modern data warehouse solutions such as Databricks and dbt.
  • High proficiency in architecting and implementing workflow management systems, with Airflow being a must-have skill.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience in building and maintaining Spark applications.
  • Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other optimized file formats.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with observability systems like Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Strong background in building CI/CD processes, with experience in GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins being beneficial.
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks.
