Finance Associate (Compliance) Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage statutory filings, compliance with the Companies Act, income tax, TDS provisions, GST, and financial statements preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage statutory filings, compliance, and financial statement preparation
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory forms and returns with regulatory bodies
  • Monitor and stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Monitor and manage TDS compliance, including deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any legal or compliance issues related to statutory filings and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations, including timely filing of returns, reconciliation, and addressing any GST-related queries
  • Provide accurate and reliable financial information to stakeholders, addressing any queries or concerns they may have
  • Maintain proper documentation and records related to statutory filings, compliance, and financial statements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of finance operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in finance operations, statutory filings, and financial statements preparation
  • In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act, income tax provisions, TDS regulations, GST laws, and financial reporting standards
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools, including financial management systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial statements and compliance filings
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to address complex financial and compliance issues
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining stakeholder confidentiality and delivering exceptional service
