Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Innovator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building innovative machine learning and data analytics solutions to create industry-leading maps.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a drive to develop cutting-edge technology that meets the needs of our customers.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with researchers, developers, architects, and IT teams to develop, deploy, and maintain applications in multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build process automation in Core Map processes using scalable Big Data infrastructure and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop and test analytic and statistical models to improve internal data-driven processes and system control needs.
  • Act as an expert in areas of data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis and modeling.
  • Function as a predictive modeling or application team lead on Core Map projects.
Requirements:Education:
  • MS or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with a focus on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years related professional experience.
  • Knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis, etc.
  • Expert-level knowledge in one or more of these areas.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Point Cloud Processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis packages and associated scripting languages.
  • Programming experience with SQL, shell script, Python, etc.
  • Experience with tools such as Pig, Hive, etc., for working with big data in Hadoop and/or Spark.
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively interact with both internal and external customer executives, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Development experience with Scala.
  • Development experience with Docker.
  • Development experience with GIS data.
  • Development experience with NoSQL databases.
