About This Role

The Demand Planner plays a pivotal role in workforce management, enabling visibility on demands across business units and geographies for future growth. The individual responsible for collating forecasts for new and replacement positions must be able to effectively and efficiently drive demand forecasting initiatives.

Collaboration with sales, delivery, finance, and resource management teams is essential to establish predictable demand forecasts, maintain forecast hygiene, run governance, improve forecasting models, and enable reporting to inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the resource forecasting cycle to ensure accurate demand planning.
  • Implement change initiatives related to demand forecasting to drive business outcomes.
  • Participate in demand forecasting discussions/decisions with stakeholders, identifying potential issues early on for corrective action.
  • Maintain and manage data to ensure demand forecast accuracy at expected levels, analyzing forecasted vs actual gaps.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and future projections to forecast demand and capacity requirements.
  • Understand short-term and long-term business plans and provide related analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop recommendations for headcount and supply/demand challenges for business implementation.
  • Publish timely reports on forecast accuracy, visibility, and various parameters taken into account.

Requirements

  • Demand forecasting experience from an IT organization background.
  • Ability to manage and present at senior leadership level (good stakeholder management).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of utilization and financial metrics and their impact on overall organizational plans.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized, with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in relevant forecasting/capacity planning.
