Key Business Analyst Role

Job Overview:

The primary focus of this role is to identify problems, develop solutions, document requirements, and communicate the direction of new and existing products for airlines that meet market demand and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • ATPCO Automated Rules processing knowledge is essential.
  • Collaborate with airlines directly to provide innovative solutions for shopping, pricing, reissues, and refunds using ATPCO fares and rules.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage projects through concept, development, and implementation, focusing on shopping, pricing, reissues, and refunds.
  • Create project requirements documents during the concept phase.
  • Collaborate with developers and project managers during the development phase to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments during implementation and launch to ensure all elements come together to support quick adoption by new and existing customers.
  • Create functional requirements documents and technical design documentation for systems and applications projects.
  • Support implementation and launch, including managing pilots and beta tests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in the travel industry, preferably with an airline reservation system, GDS, or travel agency.
  • Explicit ATPCO Automated Rules processing, strong knowledge of ATPCO fares, pricing, and data application, and strong business requirements gathering and documentation capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with IATA Fare Construction knowledge a plus.
