Senior Statistical Programmer

">Job Description:">

The Senior Statistical Programmer is a critical member of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality statistical outputs to support clinical trials.

This role requires extensive experience in SAS programming, as well as strong knowledge of medical terminology and the conduct and analysis of clinical trials.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field, and a minimum of 4 years direct SAS programming experience in a pharmaceutical development or CRO environment.

">Responsibilities:">
  • Programming Lead: Serve as the lead programmer on assigned studies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality statistical outputs.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry data standards, such as CDISC SDTM and ADaM, and ensure adherence to these standards in all programming activities.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other programmers, statisticians, data managers, database programmers, and other cross-functional team members to ensure accurate and high-quality statistical outputs.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to junior programmers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Business Development: Participate in the development and revision of departmental SOPs, and may support business development initiatives, such as RFI completion, proposal development, and bid defense participation.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field; 4+ years of direct SAS programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment; strong knowledge of medical terminology and conduct and analysis of clinical trials.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
