Enterprise Solutions Architect Job Summary

The role of Enterprise Solutions Architect involves driving analysis and design activities to deliver SAP solutions for IT projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the SAP Domain Lead to manage demand and solution delivery, ensuring timely, high-quality results within budget.

This position requires an expert in the SAP functional area who can provide technical advice and support to client IT Teams, including third parties, to ensure adherence to SAP standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding complex requirements and identifying SAP impacts and required system changes to drive business change.
  2. Documentation of system processes through diagramming.
  3. SAP Configuration in the required functional area.
  4. Writing Functional Specifications to explain the required system changes with the required detail for an ABAP programmer to develop from.
  5. Functional unit testing of ABAP changes or configuration changes.
  6. Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver SAP changes, such as test teams, support teams, integration teams, and other SAP functional teams.
  7. Implementation of system changes to Production.
  8. Warranty support of changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive SAP functional experience in one of the required SAP modules for the relevant SAP Domain.
  • ERP Core: SAP ECC, SAP HANA.
  • C Customer Relationship Management: SAP CRM.
  • Retail & Commerce: SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository), Vistex, F&R (Forecasting & Replenishment).
  • Data & Analytics: BW (Business Warehouse), Business Objects.
  • Cross-Functional & Governance: GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), Fiori.
  • Human Capital Management: HCM.
  • A curious problem solver to understand how the current SAP configuration works and analyze SAP system impacts to arrive at a solution meeting requirements.
  • A questioning mindset to dig deeper into requirements and understand the real problem trying to be solved to translate into clear functional requirements.
  • The ability to explain complex IT concepts in understandable business language.
  • Ownership to drive and deliver changes to production or investigate defects to resolution.
  • The ability to deal with senior stakeholders and multiple demands with a degree of ambiguity.
  • A strong commercial acumen and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • The ability to manage and coordinate changing priorities, understand 'what good looks like,' and capable of multi-tasking.
