Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Specialist to join our Inventory & Cost Accounting function at International Flavors & Fragrances.



About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to work as part of a global team, driving process improvements and providing exceptional support to the business. As Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for timely and qualitative performance of month-end and during-the-month activities related to Inventory & Cost Accounting.



Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:



  • Ensure timely and qualitative performance of deliverables, including month-end activities, such as plant closing, posting manual journal entries, allocation cycles, inventory reconciliations between FI and MM, preparation of inventory reports, and other ad-hoc activities.
  • Perform during-the-month activities, including inventory listings, inventory GL reconciliations in Blackline tool, communicating with stakeholders for supporting documentation, statistical key figures update for allocation cycles.
  • Support quarterly and year-end activities.
  • Become a subject matter expert and provide necessary support to the team.
  • Provide required support to business teams/accounting teams/legal entity and regional controllers as and when required.
  • Support close internal and external audits on time.
  • Prepare metrics, dashboards, KPIs for reporting to management.
  • Drive process improvements and keep SOP documentation up-to-date.
  • Adhere to all applicable internal controls (SOX & non-SOX).
  • Deliver best-of-the-best service to the organization and ensure customer delight.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support to team members.


Requirements

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:



  • A fully qualified CMA or MBA (Finance) degree with 3-6 years of relevant experience in inventory.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Tools – MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, product costing, and SAP ERP (FI-CO) as an end-user.
  • Exposure to SAP ERP (CO-PCA) and Blackline tool preferred.
  • Flexibility to work in regional shifts during month-end closing (3 days during the month).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams spread over different countries, centres, and time zones.
  • Effective written and verbal communication & presentation skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.


What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. This includes additional benefits and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
