Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team at Alignity Solutions. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 8 years of experience in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable infrastructure using GCP services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build infrastructure on GCP using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager.
  • Develop and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and scaling using GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, and Compute Engine.
  • Implement monitoring solutions using GCP tools like Stackdriver and Prometheus to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
  • Ensure the cloud environment complies with security best practices and manage identity and access management (IAM) roles, policies, and firewalls.
  • Manage and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).
  • Write scripts to automate infrastructure tasks using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Collaborate with software developers, architects, and other stakeholders to streamline the development lifecycle and optimize workflows.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs by rightsizing resources and implementing cost-saving techniques.
Requirements
  • 3-8 years of experience working in DevOps with a focus on cloud technologies and automation.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and VPC.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or GCP Deployment Manager.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (preferably GKE).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automating infrastructure tasks.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization and management techniques.
  • Certifications in Google Cloud Platform are a plus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • GCP certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer) are an added advantage.
