Chief Interior Architect

Reflections by Ankita is a dynamic and innovative interior design firm seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead our design process and manage projects.

We are looking for a skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Senior Interior Designer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design process, managing projects, and overseeing the work of junior designers.

1. Lead the design process, including conceptualization, space planning, material selection, furniture and fixture selection, lighting design, and color coordination, to create innovative and functional interior designs that meet project requirements and exceed client expectations.
2. Prepare detailed and accurate technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules, using drafting techniques and CAD software to communicate design intent and coordinate with other stakeholders.
3. Create 3D models and visualizations to help clients and team members visualize design concepts and make informed decisions.
4. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, team members, and other stakeholders, using visual aids, samples, renderings, and other presentation materials to effectively communicate design concepts and gain buy-in.
5. Manage projects, including creating and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with team members and external stakeholders, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
6. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, reviewing their work and providing feedback to ensure quality and consistency in design deliverables.
7. Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution, including reviewing and approving shop drawings, samples, and other project-related documents for compliance with design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
8. Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, technologies, and best practices in interior design, drafting, and 3D modeling, and apply them to projects to enhance design quality and efficiency.
9. Collaborate with other design disciplines, such as architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure coordination and integration of all design components.
10. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction meetings as needed to address design-related issues and provide design support.
11. Maintain organized and updated records of project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.

1. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
2. 2-3 years of experience as an Interior Designer, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
3. Proficiency in drafting techniques and CAD software for creating detailed technical drawings.
4. Strong 3D modeling skills, using software such as SketchUp or similar tools, to create visualizations and communicate design concepts.
5. Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual communication, to effectively present design concepts, coordinate with team members and stakeholders, and manage client relationships.
6. Good presentation skills, including creating visual aids, samples, and renderings to effectively communicate design concepts.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills, including managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
8. Ability to lead and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure quality in design deliverables.
9. Good understanding of interior design principles, construction methods, materials, and building codes.
10. Familiarity with other relevant software, such as rendering software or project management software, is a plus.
11. Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and meet deadlines.
12. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and specifications.
13. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
14. Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects and tasks.
