Terraform Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and optimize Terraform codebases for large-scale Cisco SD-WAN deployments across multiple data centers and branch offices.
  • Evaluate configuration templates, policies, automation workflows, and state management practices to ensure best-in-class implementation.
  • Provide expert recommendations and deliver comprehensive review reports with actionable findings.
  • Lead knowledge transfer sessions with client technical teams to drive adoption and proficiency.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Terraform (modules, variables, templates, IaC workflows) with a strong focus on scalability and maintainability.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN components, including vManage, vSmart, vBond, device templates, and policies.
  • Ability to assess and improve state management strategies (remote backends, locking, workspaces) to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, SharePoint, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with network automation best practices and SD-WAN deployment models.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with excellent communication for remote collaboration and client interaction.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Automation / Network Automation engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
  • Practical experience with Cisco SD-WAN automation, templates, and policies.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise-scale multi-site WAN deployments is highly beneficial.
