Chemical Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Coal Analysis Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

• Perform and supervise chemical analysis of coal samples, including moisture, ash, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and sulfur content.
• Ensure accurate results for proximate, ultimate, and calorific value testing in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Monitor and enforce laboratory safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Manage sampling protocols and ensure proper documentation of results.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to operations and quality assurance teams.
• Support research and development for coal beneficiation and process optimization.
• Train and guide junior chemists and lab technicians.
• Liaise with mining and production teams to ensure coal quality aligns with customer and regulatory specifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in coal analysis or related field.
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving skills.
