About the Role

Egon Zehnder is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon, India. As a key member of our Digital-IT team, you will be responsible for providing 24x7 support for our Linux infrastructure, installing, operating, and maintaining CentOS/Ubuntu flavor of Linux, and developing Python/bash scripts to meet day-to-day system administration tasks and support business application requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to provide 24x7 support for the Linux infrastructure
  • Install, operate, and maintain CentOS/Ubuntu flavor of Linux
  • Develop Python/bash scripts to meet day-to-day system administration tasks and support business application requirements
  • Able to automate test and deploy code and monitor
  • Knowledge in Unix/Linux security, including Iptables and SELinux
  • Perform network troubleshooting and integrate internet software applications in a secure environment
  • Understand public key and certificate infrastructure
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend Linux/Unix software and hardware updates
  • Write and review detailed technical documentation
  • Lead technical effort in Unix and Linux areas, including capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and end-user support
  • Establish root causes of major issues and escalate to Senior Engineer
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in handling Linux/Unix
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and processes
  • Excellent communication in English and willingness to learn and grow
