About this position:

This is a high-level role focused on optimizing and tuning sanctions screening processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to enhance sanctions screening capabilities globally
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize performance
  • Develop and implement new business rules to reduce hit rates and improve accuracy
  • Create and execute test cases and scripts for testing of changes and releases
  • Identify and mitigate sanctions risks through periodic risk assessment on algorithms and rules;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and efficient operations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in sanctions screening optimization and tuning. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong knowledge of mathematics, particularly statistics
  • Ability to code using R or Python for customer segmentation and data analytics
  • Familiarity with implementing, testing or evaluating performance of financial crime and compliance systems
  • Proven track record of strong quantitative testing and statistical analysis techniques as it pertains to BSA/AML models
  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; Masters or Doctoral degree in Statistics a plus
