Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned newsroom leader to oversee day-to-day editorial operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate and engaging news content across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a news team, coordinating with input desks, sub-editors, and digital teams.
  • Evaluate and select stories for publication, exercise strong editorial judgement in headline writing, and edit for clarity, accuracy, and readability.
  • Oversee real-time news monitoring and ensure fast handling of breaking stories.
  • Maintain high journalistic standards while driving innovation in content presentation and audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior editors on strategic planning, workflow optimization, and newsroom innovations.
  • Mentor and guide the editorial team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.

- Minimum 12 years of newsroom experience with a strong background in digital media.

- Proven leadership skills with ability to multitask under pressure.

- Exceptional command over the English language with sharp news sense and editorial acumen.
