Job Description:

  • We seek a skilled Backend Developer with strong proficiency in Ruby (language fundamentals, idioms, metaprogramming).
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, mixins, blocks, procs, and lambdas.
  • Familiarity with memory management, GC tuning, and performance profiling is required.
  • Experience with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, ActiveModel validations, Engines, initializers, routing, and lifecycle callbacks is necessary.
  • Comfortable deploying and optimizing Passenger, Thin.
  • Deeper understanding of Thread vs. process models, Connection handling, worker tuning, memory profiling.
  • PostgreSQL and advanced usage of ActiveRecord.
  • Experience optimizing N+1 queries, indexes, and query plans.
  • Proficient with Bundler, Rake, Rubygems.
  • Gem building and custom gem publishing.
  • Knowledge of RVM, rbenv, chruby.
