Job Summary:

This position involves leading and driving test automation and software quality assurance for various components.

As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for assisting with manual testing for components that are not easily automated.

You will work closely with software developers to understand the software and propose a quality assurance plan accordingly.

A key responsibility of this role is to add testing infrastructure support for unit tests, isolation, limited logging, and selective testing.

Additionally, you will participate in cross-functional project teams with scientists, software quality, technical support, and other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive test automation and software quality assurance for various components
  • Assist with manual testing for components that are not easily automated
  • Work closely with software developers to understand the software and propose a quality assurance plan
  • Add testing infrastructure support for unit tests, isolation, limited logging, and selective testing
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams with scientists, software quality, technical support, and other engineers

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT industry
  • 8+ years of experience in automation testing and quality assurance
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA hands-on lead or QA hands-on architect
  • Strong experience in coding using Java, selenium, and TestNG/JUnit
  • Strong experience in preparation and execution of test scripts for functional and non-functional testing
  • API automation experience using rest assured or similar technology
  • Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch
  • Experience with BDD using Cucumber and TDD experience with Atlassian suite, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Experience with code repositories - GitHub and CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo
  • Ability to write SQL database queries

  • Experience with SQL joins and DB testing knowledge
  • Experience with mocking or virtualization tool sets
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6
