Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Developer with 7-10 years of expertise in designing, developing, and implementing advanced data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Power BI, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to transform raw data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the design and development of complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to business requirements.
  2. Engage with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements, and deliver impactful business intelligence solutions.
  3. Perform complex data modeling, analysis, and transformations using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
  4. Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance for large datasets.
  5. Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, cloud services (Azure), Excel, and others.
  6. Implement and manage row-level security, Power BI gateways, and sharing options for secure and optimized access.
  7. Mentor and guide junior Power BI developers, reviewing their work, and providing technical leadership on best practices.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features and trends, incorporating new tools and techniques where beneficial.
  9. Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to develop scalable data models and improve data pipelines.
  10. Develop custom visuals, complex measures, and calculations to support business insights.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. 7-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role with strong expertise in Power BI.
  2. Advanced knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX for creating complex reports and dashboards.
  3. Strong experience working with SQL databases, relational databases, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  4. Proven track record in designing and managing large-scale BI solutions that involve millions of data points.
  5. Ability to lead large data projects from requirements gathering to solution deployment.
  6. Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization for reporting.
  7. Familiarity with integrating Power BI with data sources like SAP, Salesforce, and other third-party applications is preferred.
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps is a plus.
  10. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R is an advantage.
Education and Certifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  2. Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification preferred.
