Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled senior database administrator to manage our databases at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrating Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble) to ensure seamless database operations.
  • Implementing security best practices and access control policies to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize database performance.
  • Design and implementation of backup strategies in IRIS to minimize data loss.
  • Design and implementation disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Implementing high availability / interoperability to ensure 24/7 database accessibility.
  • Implementing reporting/mirroring to enhance data visibility and analytics.
  • IRIS installation, upgrades, and database patching to maintain current software versions.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving for complex issues to minimize downtime.
  • Managing Database maintenance solutions to automate routine tasks.
Requirements:
  • At least 2+ years of experience in database development in a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of database design and data modeling principles.
  • Experience in integrating IRIS with ETL/BI software to leverage data insights.
  • Experience in ticketing system (ServiceNow) to streamline issue tracking.
  • Experience in release management system (Azure DevOps) to enhance collaboration.
  • Good knowledge of Azure and Agile methodologies to drive project success.
  • Understanding the Intersystems IRIS/Cache(Ensemble) coding standards to ensure code quality.
