Indirect Tax Associate Job
\We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Indirect Tax Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.\Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in responding to tax authorities during enquiries, investigations and audits.\
  • Prepare replies to show cause notices and audit replies.\
  • Meet with tax officers for hearings as required.\
  • Prepare tax appeals to be filed at the Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and Court (i.e. Tribunal, High Court / Supreme Court).\
  • Assist seniors in representation before various judicial forums.\
  • Conduct comprehensive research on various topics.\
  • Identify and discuss technical issues with clients while being mindful of firm risk issues.\
  • Handle tax matters including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals etc., meeting the tax authorities, representation during appeals along with seniors etc.\
  • Execute work on a multiple client base, assuming near independent responsibility for smaller clients.\
  • Develop rapport with middle layers of client management.\
  • Stay abreast of firm wide and competitor activities and general business trends.\
  • Bring value to the client and manager by applying this knowledge in delivering solutions to clients.\
  • Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact the clients.\
  • Stays abreast with the latest development in the tax and other laws.\
  • Contributes to the knowledge management activities of the firm.\

    • Key Skills: Excellent knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.\
    • Qualifications: Qualified CA/LLB, 0-2 years of experience in Indirect Tax would be preferred i.e. GST, Customs etc.\
