Site Engineer Job Description">

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Site Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in Commercial Interiors, with strong leadership skills to manage construction projects, supervise crew members, prepare estimates for time and material costs, complete quality assurance, observe health and safety standards, and compile reports for different stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines. Strong analytical and logical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. Outstanding candidates should demonstrate a superb work ethic and thrive under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Organize materials and ensure sites are safe and clean.
  • Estimating: Prepare cost estimates and ensure appropriate materials and tools are available.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment as required.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
  • Authorisation: Authorize technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Scheduling: Draw up work schedules and communicate any adjustments to crew members and clients.
  • Reporting: Gather data, compile reports and deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Team Management: Delegate tasks and schedule meetings and training sessions where required.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete quality assurance and provide feedback to the team.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in Interiors, especially in Commercial.
  • A driver's license.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Additional certificates or licenses may be required.
  • Solid knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
