Job Title: Tax Expert - Indirect Taxation

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional expertise in indirect tax law and regulation, with a strong background in GST management and compliance.

  1. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required. A postgraduate degree or certification in taxation would be an added advantage.
  2. The candidate should have at least 5-6 years of experience in the indirect tax domain, preferably with a reputable firm.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP packages such as Tally is essential.
  4. Strong communication and drafting skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.

About the Role:

We seek a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of indirect taxation laws and regulations. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on GST-related matters, ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and represent clients before revenue authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a wide range of GST-related assignments, including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, GST audit, departmental audits, and scrutiny.
  • Prepare submissions/replies to various tax notices, show cause notices, and drafting appeals.
  • Represent clients before revenue authorities, such as the Commissioner (Appeal), concerning EA 2000 audit, CERA audit, and DGCEI Investigations.
  • Foster client engagement by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues within agreed timelines, and working closely with our support team.
  • Ensure the timely execution of deliverables, both technical and non-technical.
  • Help junior team members develop through effective supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Offer guidance and consultation on GST matters to clients, providing insights on tax implications related to new business deals and other relevant scenarios.
