Job Overview

The Subject Manager is a pivotal role that requires exceptional organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The primary responsibility of this position involves managing large-scale projects related to question bank management, subject matter expert (SME) panels, and test development activities.

  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all project phases.
  • Create and implement comprehensive content creation strategies, including the development of multiple-choice questions in English, Hindi, and other languages.
  • Develop and manage efficient question banks, setting quality standards for item writing and review.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal availability of items in assigned non-STEM domains/subjects.
  • Lead SME management efforts by defining selection criteria and strategies, monitoring performance quality, training and developing SME pools, and coordinating extensively with SMEs for all test development activities.
  • Design tests in subjects of expertise and coordinate with SMEs to finalize test designs in other domains/subjects.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to fulfill requirements for test items and question sets.

Key Qualifications

  • Subject competency in school subjects up to 12th level as per NCERT syllabus.
  • Broad understanding of the education system in India and familiarity with NCERT/CBSE/Boards.
  • Experience working in the education sector related to assessment and evaluation, including test design/blueprints and question development.
  • Excellent command over English both written and spoken, and good command over spoken Hindi.
  • Proficiency required in at least one of the below mentioned skills:
  • Verbal Ability - English, Verbal Ability - Hindi
