About This Role

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum based on the location in Pune/Chennai and industry standards. As a Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting, you will be part of our Global Institutional Accounting team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of a small- to medium-sized fund accounting support team. Set work priorities and allocate resources according to client and fund accounting functional needs.
  • Manage the daily accounting and net asset value (NAV) production workflow to service multiple funds. Review data and assist in resolving escalated problems that may arise during the normal daily, weekly or monthly accounting and reporting.
  • Supervise the tracking of fund data and maintenance of accounting records. Establish data maintenance and summarization processes and procedures to improve team efficiency and best support the accounting team. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and improve team efficiency.
  • Set standards for team's report output to be shared with accounting teams. Coordinate review of reports and the sharing of reports with accounting teams.
  • Maintain relationships with client staff. Ensure clients receive needed information in a timely manner and that all accounting support needs are met.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and improve team efficiency. Perform complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities in the areas of driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes, and specialist review functions. Provide input into methodologies and check the work of more junior team members.
  • Track Daily MIS- Checklist completion and error log

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we're seeking:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5 years of total work experience preferred in similar field.
  • Experience in accounting support preferred.
  • Understanding Accounting concepts like General Ledger Accounting, Amortization
  • Understanding of PControl/Nexen system will be an added benefit.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Open for US shifts.
