We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Surveillance Lead to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the surveillance function, ensuring effective detection, investigation, and prevention of market abuse or misconduct.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Surveillance Function Oversight: Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the surveillance function, ensuring effective detection, investigation, and prevention of market abuse or misconduct.
  • Investigation and Escalation: Supervise investigation of alerts, suspicious trades, and breaches; ensure timely escalation to compliance, legal, or regulators.
  • Surveillance Systems Development: Develop, test, and deploy surveillance systems, creating a surveillance framework, SOPs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the surveillance team; ensure continuous skill enhancement in regulatory and analytical domains.
  • Risk Management: Benchmark against global best practices; introduce process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Present periodic surveillance reports, risk dashboards, and key metrics to the Board Committees, and seniors.
  • Regulatory Affairs: Ensure adherence to SEBI, stock exchange, and other regulatory guidelines; liaison with regulators, interacting with market participants.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and Experience: MBA (in finance), CA, CS; minimum relevant experience of 5 - 10+ years.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of equity and equity derivatives markets; knowledge of tools and programming used for analysis and report creation.
  • Functional Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of Exchange ecosystem and operations; integrating market knowledge with technical expertise for report automation.
