Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Research Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of mutual funds, portfolio management services, and alternative investment funds in India.

The selected candidate will track, analyze, and evaluate the performance of these investments across various strategies, providing valuable insights to inform our portfolio decisions.

  • Track and Analyze Investment Performance: Conduct thorough research on mutual funds, portfolio management services, and alternative investment funds to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Conduct Quantitative Analysis: Perform detailed quantitative analysis, including alpha, beta, Sharpe ratio, information ratio, drawdowns, rolling returns, capture ratios, and consistency metrics to assess investment performance.
  • Perform Qualitative Assessments: Conduct qualitative assessments of fund houses, investment philosophy, fund managers, and risk management practices to provide a comprehensive understanding of each investment.
  • Monitor Portfolio Positioning: Track sector/market cap exposures, liquidity profile, and churn across managers to ensure optimal portfolio positioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively. You should also have a deep understanding of financial markets and instruments, as well as experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Financial Markets Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and regulations.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization Tools: Experience with data analysis and visualization software, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
