Research Opportunity for Bakers

We are seeking skilled bakers to participate in a groundbreaking research project that combines baking skills with AI technology.

This initiative is part of the Common Lives Project, which aims to capture and understand real-world activities through video recordings.

As a participant, you will wear a head-mounted GoPro camera to record your daily activities over 5 days within a 2-week window. The footage will be used to develop AI models that can recognize complex activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Wear a head-mounted GoPro camera to capture your daily activities for 5 separate days
  • Record a minimum of 7 hours per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy
  • At the end of each day, spend around 2 hours reviewing your footage and uploading it to a secure platform
Requirements:
  • Participants must live in a private, self-contained apartment or indoor work environment
  • Must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles (e.g., not retail or child care)
  • Preferably engaged in manual or creative work (e.g., chef, baker, artist, carpenter, musician, electrician, mechanic)
  • Must be self-employed or have employer consent to record in the work environment
