Job Description

As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for handling advanced threat detection and response efforts using Carbon Black EDR across our clients' endpoints. You will investigate and analyze sophisticated security alerts and events to determine root cause, scope, and impact of security incidents.

You will provide technical expertise and guidance to junior analysts, assisting with incident investigations, analysis, and resolution. You will also develop and implement advanced detection and response strategies using Carbon Black EDR to enhance our overall security posture.

Key responsibilities include leading incident response efforts, including coordination with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. You will conduct in-depth analysis of endpoint data and logs to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs) and advanced attack techniques.

Collaboration with threat intelligence teams is essential to stay updated on emerging threats and tactics used by threat actors. You will develop and maintain security playbooks, procedures, and response plans for incident response and threat hunting.

Assisting in the tuning and optimization of Carbon Black EDR policies, SIEM rules, and custom queries to improve detection efficacy is a critical aspect of this role. You will stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in endpoint security and threat detection.

Regular reports and updates on security incident trends, analysis findings, and mitigation efforts will be provided to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. Hand-on experience with MS Defender for 5+ years in a cyber security department is required.

Technical skills include MS Defender, EDR Operations, SIEM, SOAR, AZURE, and Carbon Black. A strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT and ITIL, and information security standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST, is necessary.

Expertise in risk management, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance is critical. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
