Digital Circuit Designer

A skilled Digital Circuit Designer will be responsible for designing, developing and verifying digital circuits using HDL (Hardware Description Language) coding. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities include defining DSP, System and Board architecture based on customer requirements, owning project from concept to delivery, including risk management, schedule tracking, and design reviews. The ideal candidate will also have experience in partitioning algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or software, estimating FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth. Additionally, they will create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and peer reviews, develop and maintain project-related documentation, especially design documents with detailed analysis reports, provide support during integration phases at test sites and production teams, and design and implement RTL functions.

Professional skills required include strong knowledge of VHDL, experience with Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation, thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGA's, functional simulation expertise, logic design and debugging skills, FPGA design skills, including VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, System C/System Verilog, knowledge of FPGA synthesis and PAR tools, implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environment for Radar and Electronic Warfare systems, modeling algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, and visualizing data, working knowledge of interfacing with ADCs and DACs and interpreting their performance, excellent communication and presentation skills, and configuration/version control tool experience, such as SVN.
