Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Owning the end-to-end implementation of payment processing systems.
  • Configuring workflows for invoicing, recurring billing, chargebacks, and refunds.
  • Managing accounts, user roles, permissions, and integrations with other platforms.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Engineering & Test Data Includes:

  • Designing and maintaining API integrations between payment platforms and internal systems.
  • Building and managing test data environments to simulate payment flows and edge cases.
  • Automating transaction scenarios for validation and regression testing.
  • Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerts to ensure reliability and transparency of payment processes.

Business Process & Operations Include:

  • Translating business process flows into payment configurations.
  • Collaborating with finance, product, and operations teams to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving payment issues, disputes, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Providing internal training, documentation, and ongoing support for payment system usage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a payment developer/engineer, including leading at least one payment implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and modules related to payment processing.
  • Experience with test data creation, automation, and CI/CD testing frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of payment process flows, reconciliation, and dispute management.
