Senior Data Engineer Position

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. This role will be responsible for creating efficient and scalable data pipelines, ensuring high-quality data delivery, and driving business growth through data-driven insights.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest data from various sources, including databases and flat files, into our centralized data warehouse.
  • Cloud Services Expertise: Possess hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including Lambda, DMS, and Glue, to leverage their capabilities in optimizing data processing and storage.
  • Snowflake Data Warehousing: Demonstrate a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and practical experience using Snowflake to design and implement data models that meet business requirements.
  • Stored Procedure Development: Develop and optimize Snowflake stored procedures to implement complex business logic and data transformations, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
  • Airflow Workflow Management: Manage and monitor scheduled data workflows using Apache Airflow to ensure timely data deliveries and minimize downtime.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all delivered datasets and reports.
  • Project Delivery Lifecycle: Adhere to the full project delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, documentation, and obtaining user acceptance testing (UAT) approvals.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting: Deliver data sets to other teams and support the creation of Power BI reports to provide actionable insights and drive business decisions.
  • SQL Scripting Proficiency: Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL scripting to efficiently query and manipulate large datasets.
  • Python Data Manipulation: Possess proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation to streamline data processing tasks.
