Job Description:

You will be part of our engineering team, working closely with our leadership and product team to develop a global-scale education platform. You will take ownership of features, solving challenges across scalability, system design, performance optimization, and integrations. Your contributions will have a direct impact on millions of users globally.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Scalable APIs and Microservices: Use Node.js (or equivalent frameworks) to create robust and efficient APIs.
  • Optimize Backend Systems: Ensure high-performance, secure, and reliable backend systems.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver seamless features.
  • Contribute to Architectural Decisions: Participate in architectural decisions, system design, and technology stack choices.
  • Write Clean Code: Follow best practices to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Monitor and Improve: Continuously monitor, debug, and improve backend systems.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of professional backend development experience.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency with Node.js, Express.js, or similar frameworks.
  • Web Architecture: Solid understanding of web application architecture, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and caching strategies.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and design scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Logical Reasoning: Strong logical reasoning, quick learning ability, and a proactive mindset.
