Linux Systems Administrator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage Linux operating systems, including RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in managing Linux environments, with additional Unix experience (Solaris/AIX) being desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and configuring virtual machines, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, system tuning
  • Shell scripting, LVM, TCP/UDP, SNMP, DNS, NFS, SSH, sudo, syslog
  • Performance troubleshooting, managing system services, system hardening
  • Break/Fix, Release management and patching
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environments
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with good time management, communication, and presentation skills across varying organization levels
  • Customer-facing experience when handling incident response.

Required qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or training
  • Degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems
  • Experience with enterprise systems for monitoring
  • Any relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, Azure
