Job Title: Network and Server Technical Lead

This is a critical role for a skilled professional to oversee the day-to-day management of our network infrastructure, servers, and Grafana admin tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of these systems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking and server administration, with experience in troubleshooting complex problems and implementing solutions. They should also be proficient in managing user access and permissions, monitoring system health, and collecting and analyzing logs for incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network L2 Tasks:
    • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (switches, routers, VLANs)
    • Manage IP address allocation and conflict resolution
    • Liaise with ISPs for WAN troubleshooting
    • Provision and de-provision network links
    • Manage network configurations, backups, and restores
    • Analyze capacity and bandwidth trends, and set proactive alerts
    • Optimize network performance and adjust thresholds
    • Update network topology after changes
  • Server L2 Tasks (Windows + Linux):
    • Resolve disk space issues and troubleshoot remote servers
    • Perform OS-level diagnostics and patching (Windows/Linux)
    • Troubleshoot server crashes or system errors
    • Manage user access and permissions
    • Monitor CPU, memory, and disk health
    • Collect and analyze logs for incidents
    • Manage virtual servers and scaling
    • Support high availability and disaster recovery configuration
  • Grafana Admin Tasks:
    • User Management: Create, update, and delete user accounts; assign roles and permissions
    • Dashboard Management: Create and manage dashboards and visualizations
    • Alerting: Set up and manage alerts; ensure correct configuration and notification
    • System Monitoring: Monitor Grafana instance health and performance; escalate to L2 team as needed
    • Backup and Restore: Perform regular backups of Grafana configurations and data; restore data from backups when necessary
    • Documentation: Maintain documentation for Grafana configurations, dashboards, and processes; ensure it is up-to-date and accessible
