Mobile Video Editor Developer

The mission is to deliver a clean and reliable MVP for video cut editing, starting from a provided starter project and shipping a structured editor with solid export on both Android and iOS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the core editing flow in Flutter, including importing video via file_picker, timeline thumbnail filmstrip with playhead (tap/drag), split at playhead and delete selected segment (keep 1 segment), preview playback that skips deleted segments, and implement export with FFmpegKit.
  • Develop features such as single segment export with FFmpegKit (-ss -t -c copy -movflags +faststart, fallback to libx264 + aac) and multiple segments export using trim/atrim + concat into a single MP4.
  • Create a progress UI, error handling, and post-export Open/Share/Gallery action.
  • Ensure performance and handle edge cases gracefully, maintaining a responsive UI even on ~60s 1080p videos.
  • Support Android & iOS differences (permissions, storage paths, build settings) and refactor code into services/state/UI layers.

Requirements:

  • Production Flutter experience (async, ChangeNotifier or Riverpod)
  • Practical understanding of FFmpeg/media pipelines
  • Platform knowledge for both Android & iOS (permissions, storage, build/signing basics)
