Job Title: Designer Engineer – Order Engineering (Mixers)

Job Family: Engineering

Job Summary:

Assist with new projects, redesigns of existing projects, use CAD for equipment design, resize/modify designs systems. Create customer-specific Mixer's/Rotating equipment designs from sketches, marked-up prints, verbal, or written instructions, and/or customer requirements. Provides support for sales orders, quotations, and ensures design accuracy. Works closely with Designers, Mechanical, Sales, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on Order execution, Product design, and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Develop innovative and cost-effective mechanical designs using plant standard procedures, engineering knowledge, and experience.
  • Perform engineering calculations for day-to-day activities and long-term projects.
  • Understanding and interpretation of ATEX standards, preferred.
  • Knowledge in executing end-to-end Mixer/Agitator/Rotating equipment Order engineering.
  • Review customer specifications, analyze engineering requirements, and propose engineered solutions.
  • Working closely with Design, Application, Mechanical & Manufacturing, Project Engineering, and Sales, following the manufacturing and assembling process, employ problem-solving skills to resolve issues encountered.
  • Experience in producing 3D models, drawings, BOM for a wide array of components and assemblies, including but not limited to castings, rough and precision machining, fabrication, and piping.
  • Creation of P&ID's, GA's, fabrication drawings, bills of material, and Technical writing/IOMs.
  • Work independently or as a team member, Interactions with global engineering teams.
  • Performs first & second-level check, identify potential errors, and ensures correctness of the drawings/documents/layouts and design.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of BTech in Mechanical Engineering on full-time from a reputed university.
  • Around 6-8 years' relevant experience in Process/Manufacturing experience in Food and Beverage/Pharmaceutical/Industrial equipment industry or Similar industry, preferred.
  • Experience with Order Engineering, industrial rotating equipment (Agitators, Pumps, Gearbox, Heavy engineering, preferred).
  • Perform Engineering calculations on General engineering, rotary equipment's like Pumps, Blenders, Gearbox. Experience with Mixers/Agitators prefeed.
  • Exposure to Manufacturing plant, and knowledge of wide variety of production processes including (but not limited to) machining, assembly, casting, welding, Polishing, preferred.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Visit Vendor, Customers & SPX manufacturing sites to providing engineering solutions on equipment/Mixers supplies.
  • Strong knowledge & applying of GD&T as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies (ANSI Y14.5).
  • Proficient in CAD, PDM, and ERP applications, Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault, and SAP are preferred.
  • Efficient in reading, comprehending, and writing technical reports and correspondence, preferred.
