Service Management Engineer Job Description

This is a challenging role for an experienced Service Management Engineer who can provide expert-level support in a mission-critical environment.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements by managing and implementing ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved changes to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning exercises to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Optimize system performance and reliability by analyzing configuration data and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate vendor technical assistance center cases and firmware/patch planning to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Service Management (L2) or 8+ years (L3) in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow/BMC and other industry-leading tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of local banking regulations and industry-specific requirements.
