Technical Development Specialist

This role involves working independently as a Business Technology Platform (BTP) Developer, assigned to project implementations with complex delivery requirements. The candidate should have past or existing project delivery experience and be able to collaborate within a team during implementation phases.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, IT development teams, and business users at the consulting level as a BTP specialist.
  • Design, configure, develop, and customize SAP BTP using various tools and technologies; prioritize top-quality results and continuously seek opportunities for standardization, improvement, and system enhancement.
  • Collaborate with SAP technical consultants to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance SAP functionality, ensuring on-time delivery and setting target dates.
  • Monitor and identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues, and opportunities related to technical aspects of implementation.
  • Manage complex developments personally or guide developers to achieve timely delivery.
  • Train and transfer knowledge to other team members.
  • Recognize the impacts of changes and ensure thorough due diligence before implementing changes and conduct rigorous testing to avoid reworks.
  • Be responsible for technical design solutions prior to project implementation or change requests.
  • Ensure high-quality technical implementation and minimize post-deployment rework.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of business processes and system processes to recommend and propose technical/non-technical solutions that meet business requirements.
Requirements
  • Must have over 4-5 years of SAP BTP experience, with at least 3-4 years in a consulting environment.
  • Highly preferred technical developer with hands-on experience in BPA, CAPM, Fiori, UI5, and strong HANA and/or S4HANA development skills.
  • Advantageous to have Cloud Application Program Model (CAPM) experience.
  • Strong experience in working with SAP development tools and technologies.
  • More than 3-4 years of experience working in a technical team for project delivery.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in a consulting environment as a Technical Developer.
  • Experience in SAP project implementation in S4 HANA.
  • Provide advice and feedback to the team regarding best practices, industry trends, and overall process performance.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and evangelize their value within the development teams.
