Job Title:

About the Position:

The Chief Accounting Officer will oversee end-to-end processes within their scope, ensuring compliance with global and local accounting standards. The role involves close collaboration with senior finance members across offices to enhance financial procedures and streamline processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive management and financial accounts, and review monthly results for entities.
  • Perform detailed calculation, review, and approval of accounting entries.
  • Ensure accurate recording of revenue and expenses.
  • Manage indirect and operational tax-related activities if required.
  • Provide information for group reporting, including financial statement notes.
  • Maintain robust financial controls, including preparation and review of reconciliations.
  • Recommend process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and IFRS, making necessary adjustments.
  • Provide technical support on accounting treatments for accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and remediation of audit findings.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and auditors.
  • Review monthly reconciliations (accruals, prepaid, property, inter-company accounts).
  • Document and maintain processes under own responsibility.
  • Handle ad hoc requests promptly.
