Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at eInfochips Private Limited. As a key member of our engineering services team, you will be responsible for designing and developing real-time embedded software and firmware for a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop real-time embedded software and firmware for PC, mobile, and other applications.
  • Analyze domain-specific technical requirements and modify software as needed to meet customer or system requirements.
  • Participate in high-level requirements analysis, software design, and testing.
  • Perform software testing, including unit, functional, and system-level testing.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding guidelines and static code analysis.
  • Troubleshoot software problems of limited difficulty.
  • Document technical deliverables, including software specifications, design documents, code comments, test cases, and test reports.
  • Develop software solutions using established programming languages or by learning new languages required for specific projects.
  • Mentor and train junior team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Linux device drivers and Linux kernel programming.
  • Experience with Yocto SDK, Yocto Recipe, and Layers.
  • Experience adding new machine support in Yocto build systems and upgrading Yocto for version to another.
  • Experience working with development tools like GIT, SVN, and JIRA.
  • Experience working with embedded microprocessors from Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel, or similar.
  • Experience with Board Support Package, Device Driver, and Boot Loader development/porting.
  • Strong sense of ownership, passion, fast learning, analytical mindset, and perfection-seeking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
