Job Description

At EXL, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and building data ingestion pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow, and developing robust data solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in Advanced Python programming, who can leverage their skills to drive business outcomes. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that meet our clients' requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data ingestion pipelines using Advanced Python.
  • Develop and maintain data quality checks to ensure high-quality data delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all data pipelines, including data flows, transformations, and quality checks.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced Python programming skills, including proficiency in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

We also prefer candidates with experience in:

  • Data engineering frameworks such as Apache Beam or Spark.
  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of ₹1,200,000 - ₹2,400,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Location

This role is based in India, with opportunities to work from home or in our office locations in Gurgaon, Bangalore, Pune, or Noida. You will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
