About the Role

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Innovation and Patents Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and patent development initiatives across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesInnovation and Patent Development
  • Foster a culture of innovation and learning within the organization.
  • Manage the deployment of multiple innovation races and contests, including coordination and communication with participants and stakeholders.
  • Work with innovation local contacts and champions to track evaluations and monitor completions and status.
  • Collaborate with patent officers to enhance the quality of disclosures.
  • Review and work with platforms and experts to obtain sponsorship for disclosures.
  • Engage with the expert community to ensure the right level of nominations from sites.
  • Design and develop programs to aid competency growth of the expert community.
Training and Development
  • Manage the deployment of multiple training programs in Alstom India, including coordination and communication with participants and stakeholders.
  • Acquire a complete technical understanding of job codes and job descriptions for competencies, skills, and knowledge.
  • Ensure training plans for new joiners – freshers and lateral hires.
  • Understand target and assessed levels of competency, gaps, individual development plans, and associated KPIs and visualization tools.
People Analytics
  • Analyze, design, and establish meaningful metrics and dashboards to report on monthly basis, monitoring important people metrics and progress for Alstom People Strategy KPI.
  • Develop a good level of understanding of business challenges, organization structure, and talent issues to identify relevant analytics needs.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present generated people analytics based on multiple internal and external data sources, converting into compelling visual stories.
  • Review and present presentations and supporting materials to propose recommendations and influence change related to people topics.
Requirements

Business Master's degree with a Bachelor's in Engineering.

Exposure to innovation and patents.

Competency development and training experience.

Technical knowledge of digital tools used to manage large quantities of data, SharePoint, and digital learning platforms.

Project execution experience.

Comfortable in an international and multi-cultural environment.

Multi-tasking in project mode on multiple projects at once.

Strong communication and PowerPoint presentation skills with all levels of the organization.

Ability to challenge the status quo.

Critical thinking/problem-solving.

Conflict resolution.

Business acumen.

Teamwork/collaboration.

Technical competences regarding digital learning tools are a big asset.

Mandatory:

  • 15-20 years' of hands-on experience in projects and people-related functions.
  • At least 2 years of experience in analytics domain, having solid experience hands-on doing analytics from scratch.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm to work with data in order to present metrics, results, progress updates, and compliance information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
