Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Synechron. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in big data and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. You will be comfortable working with large data volumes and have a firm grasp of logical data structures and analysis techniques.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. You will also develop high-performance & low-latency components to run Spark clusters, interpret functional requirements into design approaches that can be served through Big Data platform, collaborate and partner with Global Teams, propose best practices and standards, perform testing of software prototypes, process data using Hive, Impala & HBASE, and perform analysis of large data sets to derive insights.

About the Benefits:

As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your location and experience. About the Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 7+ years of experience in big data
  • A strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Comfortable working with large data volumes and logical data structures
  • Experience with Java, Spark, Hive, Impala, HBASE, and other big data technologies
  • Knowledge of concurrency patterns & multithreading in Java
  • Familiarity with concepts of Domain Design, JDBC, and RESTful
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Basic Unix OS and scripting knowledge
  • Optional: Familiarity with Arcadia Tool for Analytics, cloud and container technologies, build tools like Maven, and continuous integration like Jenkins/Team City
