About the Job:

As a Senior General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's firmware development team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a team of skilled engineers and ensure the achievement of business targets related to quality, time-to-market, innovation, profitability, and competence strategy deployment.

A direct experience in product development is essential, and background in Agile methodology is highly valued.

The ideal candidate should have at least 20 years of experience in firmware development, with a minimum of 8 years in firmware design and development, and 5 years in multithreaded application development. Additionally, they should have experience in architecting/designing time/safety-critical systems, complex product development, and working with multi-process hardware and software platforms.

We are looking for an expert in embedded C, C++ development, generic, and portable software components. The successful candidate should also have good knowledge of wireless communication (ZIGBEE, BLE), LPWAN (LORA, LTE-M, NB-IOT), protocols used for connecting to cloud servers like STOMP, MQTT, socket programming, and exposure to communication protocols like Modbus, CAN, IEC61850 or similar.

The salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Targets Enablement: Support the competency set-up strategy, take accountability for deployment, understand competency needs, plan resource allocation into Agile Teams, ensure high-quality job done, provide coaching to team members, identify and escalate risks when needed.
  • Competency Management: Identify team skills evolutions based on company competency strategy and roadmap, build and implement competency plan, upskill the team, identify and foster opportunities for skill development, develop customer-centric mindset, manage attrition risks.
  • People & Career Development: Create an environment that allows the team to thrive, advise and support on career development, focus on continuous improvement, provide actionable feedback, manage performance, evaluate skills mastery, recognize people for their contribution, drive Health and Safety measures deployment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Computer engineering.
  • Experience in using static code analysis tools, unit testing tools, integration testing tools, binary analysis tools (klocwork, lint, gtest, vector-cast, Etc).
  • Experience in using configuration management tools like Git, Subversion, etc.
  • Good knowledge on Cybersecurity process.
  • Strong ownership and self-motivation attitude.
  • Excellent oral & written communication in English.
  • Team player able to work closely with leads, peer groups, architects, and design teams.
