Job Title:

  • Manual Tester

 

Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of focused manual testing experience across web and/or mobile applications, with proficiency in formalizing test documentation—test plans, cases, checklists, and test reports.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows is essential.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting functional, regression, UI, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring coverage across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain and update test artifacts—to facilitate traceability and transparency.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to clarify requirements, replicate issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Evaluate the implications of new features and changes on existing functionality to prioritize testing effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in formalizing test documentation—test plans, cases, checklists, and test reports.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla with strong defect logging and tracking capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to articulate issues clearly and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAP UI for manual verification of backend services.
  • Exposure to SQL or basic database validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS/Android) and using device debugging tools such as ADB or Charles Proxy.
  • ISTQB or other relevant QA certification.
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools would add value.
