Senior Automation Tester

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned automation tester to join our team. As a key member of our testing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using Python and relevant testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing needs and develop effective testing strategies.
  • Execute automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing with a strong background in software QA methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, or Shell.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including writing shell scripts and using Unix command-line tools.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with RESTful API testing and tools like Postman, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Initiated and developed from scratch a reusable common-lib module for UI steps, data-driven testing, SOAP/REST API, JSON parsing, AODA compliance, PDF test, ETL support, can be extended to Mobile UI testing.
  • Developed frameworks in Java (Maven) and JavaScript (Node.js), using Excel for test data and JSON for object repositories.
  • Architected RAPID Automation Test Management Platform, a 24/7 self-sustaining system for executing automation regression test scripts.
  • Supporting REST API workflows with automated test case generation, JSON assertions, and data encryption.
